Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Defence Colony, Delhi

Cost of a Afghan Hound Puppy in Defence Colony
Budget from ₹78,000 upward, and budget past the purchase too. A large dog costs money every month after the first one - food, vaccination boosters, and the occasional vet visit that nobody plans for.
Paperwork and health checks
Every Afghan Hound Puppy leaves with its vaccination record, deworming dates and a health check done before listing, not after booking. If a record is incomplete we hold the dog back rather than paper over it.
Living with a aloof breed
The Afghan Hound Puppy is aloof, which is easy to read as low-maintenance. It is not. A breed that settles quickly still needs the routine set in the first weeks, or it sets its own and you live with that for 12–14 Years.
Getting a Afghan Hound Puppy home across Defence Colony
Handover in Defence Colony is planned around traffic, not around convenience. A young Afghan Hound Puppy travelling in heat and stop-start movement gets stressed fast. Early morning works best; we will say so even when it is less convenient for everyone involved.
What the Delhi climate does to a Afghan Hound Puppy
subtropical plains. In practice the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season For a large breed that means the hard exercise moves to either end of the day and the middle is spent indoors. Water goes everywhere the dog goes.
What a Afghan Hound Puppy costs here
₹78,000 to ₹135,500 covers most placements in Defence Colony. The spread is the litter, the age at handover, and whether the health work was genuinely done. We would rather explain the figure than discount it.
Health checks and handover
Every Afghan Hound Puppy is examined, vaccinated and dewormed before it is listed, not after it is booked. You get the original records at handover. We deliver into Defence Colony ourselves, carrier secured, route planned around traffic rather than convenience.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Defence Colony: local climate
Defence Colony is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 6°C.
The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are February, March, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 21 | 26 | 32 | 39 | 43 | 42 | 37 | 34 | 33 | 32 | 28 | 23 |
| Low °C | 6 | 9 | 15 | 22 | 27 | 30 | 28 | 26 | 23 | 18 | 13 | 8 |
| Rain mm | 16 | 24 | 18 | 16 | 33 | 81 | 213 | 199 | 123 | 13 | 4 | 8 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
